The conclusion on the compliance of the software with the requirements of K-178C is mandatory when certifying components of aviation equipment in the Aviation Authorities of the Russian Federation. The complexity of the CT-178C document and the lack of specific practical recommendations, combined with the lack of sufficient experience in software development for "heavy" processes, leads to the fact that most companies in the aviation construction sector face the problem of self-implementation of software development processes in accordance with CT-178C. This process is complex, time-consuming, and, as a result, requires significant financial costs.
